Support the Sufra team by assisting with day-to-day facilities tasks. This includes assisting with deliveries, organising and rotating stock and other facilities duties such as basic cleaning and dishwashing. The role is ideal for someone reliable and hands-on, who is comfortable with manual work including lifting.

Volunteer at our new location at New Horizons Centre and help us operate our weekly daytime Community Café. This role involves serving warm drinks, pastries and lunches at our café. We're looking for volunteers with great communication skills, who like working in busy environment and motivated to ensure food safety measures are respected. Training for the role will be provided.

Volunteer at our new location at New Horizons Centre and help us operate our weekly daytime Community Shop. As a volunteer in the shop, you will assist our guests to choose their items, support with the stacking of the shelves, check membership cards at the till and help us maintain a nice and tidy space. An induction will be provided.

Pathway Volunteers perform a vital role within the Community Wellbeing
Service. They are the first point of contact when guests register as
members. The role will require you to:
- Greet guests who are visiting the Community Wellbeing service for the first time
- Conduct a ‘pathway’ triage appointment, establishing the members’ goals and note down areas of concern and current issues
- Signpost to local services and partners that come into the space
- If needed, book an appointment for the member with an advisor
- Update Sufra’s case management system, keeping detailed notes of appointments.

Hand out food parcels, manage the guest list, and offer signposting support on our Tuesday and Thursday Food Bank. We need volunteers who have great communication and organisation skills, who are able to lift heavy bags and cope with a busy service. You'll have a direct impact on reducing food poverty and be able to engage with our guests.

@ Sundays at Sufra - Support our chef to prepare meals for our Fresh Meal Service - up to 200 boxed up in a session
@ Weekdays at New Horizons Centre - Volunteer at our new location at New Horizons Centre and help us operate our weekly daytime and evening Community Kitchen. This role involves general cooking and prep tasks as well as maintenance of the kitchen. Training will be provided but we ask the kitchen volunteer to be confident in handling a knife, to wear appropriate clothing as well as being aware of food safety rules.

Tasks vary from a range of food growing, garden maintenance and DIY tasks such as building and painting raised beds, weeding, composting, pruning, watering and harvesting produce. We are looking for volunteers who can commit 1 morning or afternoon per week, to become telephone volunteers. Triaging phone calls from guests, donors, volunteers and the general public, you will be the first friendly voice anyone will hear when they get in touch.

Triage Volunteers perform a vital role within Sufra NW London advice service. When guests are referred to the foodbank, they can access our advice services for free. The first contact they will have to access the advice service will be with a Triage Volunteer who will speak to them on the phone to find out what type and level of advice and assistance they need.
