We are looking for a strategic, impact-driven Community Programmes Manager – to lead the continued growth and development of our Community Engagement Programme and our Garden Programme in alignment with our recently launched 2030 strategy. This is a part-time role focused on strategic direction, partnership building, fundraising, and overseeing monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning (MERL) activities. The ideal candidate will be a confident leader with experience across programme strategy, community development, securing sustainable funding and amplifying user voice.
The Community Programmes Manager will work closely alongside our Community Engagement Manager to inspire local people to make a difference in their communities and influence change. This will be achieved through volunteering opportunities, user-led steering groups, and the scaling up of our advocacy initiatives. You will play a key role in ensuring that Sufra is highly effective at building community and resilience in one of London’s most disadvantaged areas.
In addition, you will oversee the strategic development and long-term sustainability of our Community Garden—a therapeutic and educational space where residents can learn about growing food, nature, and biodiversity.

The Head of Advice plays an integral role in safeguarding the integrity of our services, ensuring that we maintain the necessary accreditations and compliance standards for our Advice Service and Programmes. The Head of Advice is responsible for setting the overall strategy for the advice service, aligning it with organisational goals, and ensuring our existing service and new programmes run effectively and efficiently. Additionally, the Head of Advice will oversee compliance with funding agreements, ensuring that all advice provided aligns with the stipulations of those agreements and regulatory requirements. Their leadership helps secure our position as a trusted and accredited service provider (AQS and IAA), while continuously
driving improvements and adapting to industry standards.
The Head of Advice will work alongside our experienced Advice Manager to strategically oversee our OpenARMs (asylum seekers, refugee and migrants) programme. This programme supports newly arrived refugees and asylum seekers access the housing, healthcare, training and jobs they need to build a new life in the community. We offer cultural trips, access to ESOL classes, support groups, orientation classes and events to improve integration and independence.

The Finance Consultant will provide expert financial support and strategic insight to ensure Sufra’s financial processes are robust, compliant, and aligned with best practice. In addition, the role plays a key part in the strategic financial development of the organisation, working closely with the Director and Deputy Director to assess financial risks and opportunities, strengthen long-term planning, and ensure the sustainable growth of the organisation.
This role is critical to supporting our Finance Manager on best practice around the development of our grant reports, maintaining financial systems, budget development and management reporting for trustees. You will work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure financial sustainability and regulatory compliance.
The consultant will be expected to dedicate a minimum of 3 days per month to this work. Some months — particularly around quarter-end and audit periods — may require additional time and support to meet reporting deadlines and ensure smooth delivery. The workload will be agreed in advance and balanced across the contract period to stay within the total budget.

We are recruiting a General Advice Officer to support with the delivery of advice and welfare support to vulnerable guests who access Sufra’s Food Bank and Community Kitchens. The General Advisor will support our guests on a range of topics including benefits, subject to IAA L1 immigration accreditation, housing, income maximisation, energy efficiency and money management. The postholder will provide high quality welfare advice and guidance through weekly one-to-one advice sessions, undertake case work, work with partners to co-ordinate referral pathways, and provide support to advice volunteers.
The successful candidate must have at least two years’ experience delivering effective welfare advice, demonstrate a strong empathy and understanding of the issues facing vulnerable people, and have in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of welfare benefits with a strong focus on achieving tangible outcomes for our guests.
