Trusted Charity Level 2 Accreditation – Independent Assurance of Organisational Quality
Sufra is proud to have achieved Trusted Charity Level 2 accreditation, a nationally recognised quality standard that provides independent assurance of charity operational effectiveness.
As a small-to-medium charity, we are ambitious about what we can achieve for our community. We are known for working beyond our size, while staying grounded in a clear commitment to doing things properly, safely, and well. This accreditation reflects that commitment.
Trusted Charity Level 2 is awarded following a rigorous external assessment carried out by an independent assessor. It examines performance across 11 quality areas, including governance, leadership, financial management, safeguarding, people management, service delivery, and stakeholder engagement.
Sufra met the required standard across all 11 quality areas, demonstrating that good practice is embedded across the organisation.
The assessment is intentionally detailed and goes far beyond a desktop review. It includes scrutiny of key organisational documents, policies, and procedures, alongside structured interviews with trustees and staff. Importantly, it also includes engagement with volunteers and members of our steering groups, ensuring the assessment reflects how the organisation operates in practice and how it is experienced by those closest to our work.
For funders, supporters, and partners, Trusted Charity Level 2 provides externally verified assurance that Sufra meets nationally recognised standards across all key areas of organisational practice. It supports due diligence by offering confidence in our ability to manage resources responsibly, maintain strong governance, and deliver high-quality, community-focused services.
AQS Accredited
Sufra is proud to be Advice Quality Standard (AQS) accredited, demonstrating our commitment to providing high-quality, reliable, and professional advice services.
AQS accreditation is awarded to organisations that meet robust standards in advice delivery, including policies and procedures, staff training, accessibility, and effective guest support.
As part of this accreditation, we are independently assessed every two years to ensure we continue to meet these high standards. This reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering trusted advice in our community.

Green Care Quality Mark Accredited
Sufra holds the Green Care Quality Mark, a quality assurance accreditation for organisations like ours that run community gardens and nature-based activities.
It’s a sector-wide standard that recognises services that are safe, professional, and caring in how they support people through access to nature and green spaces.
It reflects our commitment to creating a welcoming Community Garden where people can connect with the outdoors, learn new skills, and improve their wellbeing in a supportive, inclusive environment.
