Sufra's Winter Warmer Supper Club
November 11, 2022
You are cordially invited to Sufra’s Winter Warmer Supper Club, hosted in collaboration with Hampstead Kitchen and the Maqam Centre.
Meet our guest chefs: individuals supported by our OpenARMS Programme who have curated a warming menu and engaging evening for you to enjoy.
The theme this time is Yaldā Night, a Persian and Afghan winter solstice festival celebrated on the ‘longest and darkest night of the year’. Traditionally it is a time for friends and family to come together to eat, drink, read poetry and celebrate the end of the darkness while welcoming in lighter days.
Join us for a night of ancient traditions and celebrations, whilst enjoying a variety of warming Persian dishes.
We are lucky to co-host this supper club with Saima Khan of Hampstead Kitchen, who has worked with our guest chefs to support the event. Saima has cooked for Warren Buffett, the Obamas and even royalty and is a long-time supporter of Sufra NW London.
The Maqam Centre are kindly providing the beautiful location – a centre founded by Yusuf Islam, who has also been a generous Sufra NW London supporter for many years.
All proceeds from the evening will go towards our core services, including our ‘OpenARMS’ programme, which supports asylum seekers, refugees and migrants to build a new life in the UK.
This will be an intimate event in a beautiful space and tickets are limited and in demand. Get yours while you can.
