Food Academy is back!

We all know that Sufra is #MoreThanAFoodbank and our Food Academy is one of our programmes that really embodies that.

Food Academy is an AQA accredited cooking course that Sufra offers in partnership with other organisations around the borough. Bringing people together, learning new skills, gaining qualifications and sharing meals with others – what more could you want?

This summer, we partnered with Newman Catholic College to support their #SyriaSummerCamp

Over five sessions, almost 20 young people got up to all sorts…

  • Made a delicious Pasta Bolognese to share with their families
  • Went head to head in an omelette challenge
  • Fired up the pizza oven to make their own pizzas from scratch
  • Learnt about food hygiene and safety in the kitchen…
  • And much more!

We can’t wait for the next round!
