Coats, glorious coats!

We distributed a whopping 1088 coats in our Winter Warmer Coat Drive

You will have seen our callouts for coats throughout Autumn last year. While we weren’t sure what the response would be, knowing that the cost-of-living crisis is really pinching everyone’s pockets at the moment, we had hoped that the extended Sufra Community could support with this donation drive.

In fact – we were blown away! Hundreds of coats, of all shapes and sizes were donated from local individuals, local schools and community centres that had rallied for donations.

Our ‘Pop-up Shop’ saw hundreds of Sufra guests come through to pick up coats for them and their family, and we were pleased to support lots of local residents from St Raph’s Estate too.

A huge thanks to everyone who donated a coat this winter, your contribution is currently keeping one of your neighbours warm and dry. And thanks to volunteers from KnightFrank for helping us with the shop.

To contribute to our other projects this Winter and beyond (including serving approx. 900 people per week with food aid), check out our Winter Appeal which is still live:
