Volunteer at our new location at New Horizons Centre and help us operate our weekly daytime Community Café. This role involves serving warm drinks, pastries and lunches at our café. We're looking for volunteers with great communication skills, who like working in busy environment and motivated to ensure food safety measures are respected. Training for the role will be provided.

Volunteer at our new location at New Horizons Centre and help us operate our weekly daytime Community Shop. As a volunteer in the shop, you will assist our guests to choose their items, support with the stacking of the shelves, check membership cards at the till and help us maintain a nice and tidy space. An induction will be provided.

Pathway Triage Volunteers will perform a vital role within our Community Wellbeing Service. When guests register to the service, they will need to meet with a Pathway Triage Volunteer. The volunteer will speak to them to find out what type and level of advice and assistance they need, as well as to complete our Baseline Survey and give them our 'Member Pack'. The Pathway Triage Volunteer is an essential role within the Community Wellbeing Service as it is part of the guest's introduction to our service. A full induction will be provided for the role.

Hand out food parcels, manage the guest list, and offer signposting support on our Tuesday and Thursday Food Bank. We need volunteers who have great communication and organisation skills, who are able to lift heavy bags and cope with a busy service. You'll have a direct impact on reducing food poverty and be able to engage with our guests.

This role involves general cooking and prep tasks as well as maintenance of the kitchen. Training will be provided but we ask the kitchen volunteer to be confident in handling a knife, to wear appropriate clothing as well as being aware of food safety rules.

We are looking for volunteers who can commit 1 morning or afternoon per week, to become telephone volunteers. Triaging phone calls from guests, donors, volunteers and the general public, you will be the first friendly voice anyone will hear when they get in touch.

Triage Volunteers perform a vital role within Sufra NW London advice service. When guests are referred to the foodbank, they can access our advice services for free. The first contact they will have to access the advice service will be with a Triage Volunteer who will speak to them on the phone to find out what type and level of advice and assistance they need.
