Annual Report: April 2020 - March 2021
March 27, 2021

We are pleased to present our Annual Review to cover the period April 2020-March 2021.
This report encapsulates how Sufra NW London operated during the pandemic despite a 332% increase in demand for food parcels and hot food.
With a rundown of our three year strategy for 2020-2023, we explore how this first year has fit into our mission and principles for the years ahead, and our plans towards a more holistic approach to addressing food security in the future.
A quote from our director, Rajesh Makwana:
Sufra’s response to the pandemic this year pushed us beyond the limits of possibility. Never have we experienced anything as devastating or eye-opening as the impact of Covid-19 on the communities we support. And never has the impact of decades of under-investment in public services, the removal of essential safety nets or the widening of inequalities across the UK been so starkly obvious – or deplorable.
Further information about our work can be found in our published annual accounts for the same period, which are available on the Charity Commission's website here.
